2008 AGCSA NRL Tipping Competition

Proudly Presented by Simplot Pro-Line

In the greatest comeback since Lazarus - the biblical chap that is, not the former hulking Raiders and Broncos prop Glenn - the AGCSA NRL Tipping Competition is BACK and ready to kick off in 2008. Initially binned after a lack of sponsorship interest from the trade, the white knights at Simplot Pro-Line have graciously opened up the chequebook at the eleventh hour and have saved one of the turf industry's most hotly contested tipping comps.

"Simplot Pro-Line and its distributors PJC Sportsturf (NSW), Living Turf (NSW) and Total Turf (WA) are pleased to sponsor the AGCSA's NRL Tipping Competition for 2008," says Simplot Pro-line manager Matt Scott. "As one of the leading turf nutrient suppliers worldwide, Simplot has developed a unique and cost effective range of liquid and granular fertilisers, wetting agents and other specialty chemicals. From seeding to renovation to water treatment, Simplot Pro-Line provides the complete management programme to suit any turf application. Visit www.simplotproline.com.au for product information and updates or contact your local area manager. Good luck and good tipping."

The NRL season kicks off on Friday 14 March and entries are now being taken. Simply click on the Join menu button below, fill in the form and hit submit. Please ensure that before you register you read the Terms and Conditions which can be downloaded by clicking on the link below.

The format remains the same as in 2007 with both an overall and Shed v Shed competition. Each tipper or shed entry has one wildcard available to use during the season which doubles their score for the round it is used. One point will be given for each correct entry, three for a correctly tipped draw and five points if you pick all games for the round. Get them all wrong however, and there is a -10 penalty - ouch! Top tipster each week bags $150, while the end of season winner takes home $500. Shed v Shed champion will score $300. So what are you waiting for - register now!

Please Note: If you are registering a Shed v Shed entry,
please place 'Shed' as the surname and golf club name as the first name.

Good luck punters...

The Black Warrior
